About me

Hello my name is Weresdrim! (Pronounced Where’s-drim).
I’m glad you could stop by!

I am a freelance full-time anime illustrator and the creator of this site.

My goal is to draw characters and create stories in illustrations, animations and games for people to enjoy!

If you’re a fan of my work, please use this site network to view my art. I upload my art here earlier, and upload some pieces here that I don’t elsewhere.

How I started

I had been drawing very sporadically throughout my life with no formal training or study, but it was not until 2015 where I decided I wanted to take drawing seriously.

Mid 2015 was when I started working on my own visual novel and couldn’t find an artist, so I decided I would need to become good enough to draw instead of hiring somebody else.
I have been drawing seriously ever since, and that is when I began to seriously dedicate myself to drawing.

Since then I spent about a year not drawing at all from mid 2017 to mid 2018 due to school, exams and work. During this period I felt seriously deadened by my lack of time to draw and be creative. At that time I felt it was necessary to seriously start to dedicate my time and efforts toward drawing.

I dropped out of university in 2019 to draw waifus as a career and I’ve been doing that ever since. This has allowed me to both practise drawing and make money to earn a living.

Perhaps my goal was a little ambitious but I’m so glad I took it up and got to where I am now. In the future I hope to produce much greater things!

Inspirations

People

Games

  • Various visual novels (though Katawa Shoujo and Fate/Stay Night are not my favourites, they are very inspirational due to small dev teams)
  • Undertale
  • Stardew Valley
  • Minecraft (Particularly alpha/beta Minecraft)
  • Yume Nikki
  • Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky
  • Pokemon (Emerald, Platinum, HGSS are favs)

My main goal for even before I started drawing was to inspire people and make their lives better from my creations.
I remember frequently in my life, especially during childhood where I would be inspired by games and their developers, composers or artists. Major instances of this were in Katawa Shoujo, Stardew Valley, and Undertale, where small or solo dev teams managed to make some amazing games.

Particularly my greatest inspiration has been Weee (Raemz) who worked on Katawa Shoujo starting at the age of 14! By the end of the game’s development (5 years later) she had improved so much. Some of my favorite artwork from that game comes from her, and when I discovered her involvement at such a young age it really inspired me to try to do the same. Raemz still continues to make some of my favorite artworks.

It is people like her I look up to, as well as the many others on my list above who were similarly involved in small projects and made something I love.

Reality can be tough, but these creative individuals are something so special to me. They uniquely have created things so wonderful with so few resources when many AAA studios can manage nothing of any value despite the money poured into them. I hope that I can do similar things with small budgets for others and inspire them to do the same.

Conclusion

Well that’s all for my introduction! I hope you found it interesting enough knowing what I’m all about and where I want to be.
